12:03 pm - Well...
The banana I brought yesterday is gone. I now remember eating it late in the day. For a fleeting moment I assumed someone in my office stole my banana. I need some rest.

12:39 pm - FLUKE 2009 IS DONE AND IT WENT WELL.
Well, another FLUKE has come and gone. I think we actually broke 200+ attendants this year and everyone seemed enthusiastic about it. I apologize to anyone out there who talked to me and I seemed kind of out of it. I stayed up very late throughout the week leading into FLUKE and fretted about how the show would go and worked on a new comic in time. By Saturday came around, I was beat and missed my chance to talk to people I only see once a year and trade books with other folks. I can think of five books I forgot to pick up and a few people I don't think I even spoke to. So yeah, sorry guys.

I was interviewed at
Sequlab, and I think my segment is at the very end, unless they edited me out for answering a cell phone call from my wife while it was recording. Yeah, that's some bad manners, but she's pregnant and maybe it was an emergency and I wasn't thinking straight by that time of day.

We had a small crowd in front of Tasty World when I got there at 10:15 to set up, forty five minutes before the doors opened to the public. Tasty World stayed pretty full all day right up until closing time.

2:31 pm - SNOW!
Mercy. It's snowing like crazy outside. It was sixty-five degrees yesterday and now my backyard looks like a Massachusetts winter countryside picture you'd see in a calender.

9:54 am - I'M SORRY, BRIAN WILSON.
I felt so horrible about not listening to Pet Sounds by The Beach Boys in its entirety until this week. I've heard some of the songs off it throughout my life and God Only Knows has always given me goosebumps, but Lord, the entire album is amazing. I feel like I've been missing out on something.

But I guess the rest of y'all knew this, right?

current mood: ecstatic
current music: The Beach Boys- I Just Wasn't Made For These Times

2:29 pm - Off to see Sergio Aragones this afternoon...
In the mean time, enjoy this Stealer's Wheels song "Everything Will Turn Out Fine" (Original 45 rpm version). It's a catchy song, but at the 1:55 mark it goes from catchy to amazing.
